How you pick up your car
Rafina, on the east coast of Attica, is the shorter crossing to Andros, Tinos and Mykonos, and also has boats to Marmari on Evia. It is 15 km from the airport, about 25 minutes with no toll, and 31 km from Syntagma, about 40 minutes on clear roads.
Picking up here, you can drive to the airport or to the beaches at Marathon and Schinias, 20 km north, without crossing the city; or return the car at the port before your ferry.
Parking near the port is scarce in summer. There is a municipal car park a few minutes' walk from the terminals. Tell the supplier your ship and arrival time when you book: they'll meet you off the boat, send you directions to their office or send a shuttle to take you there, and confirm which after booking.
