Nearly all ferries, from Piraeus, Rafina and the other Cyclades, dock at the New Port in Tourlos, about 2 km north of town: 2.5 km by road to the Old Port (5 minutes) and 6 km to the airport (10 minutes). From Athens the crossing takes between about 2½ and 5½ hours at the time of writing, depending on the boat and on whether you sail from Rafina or Piraeus. Now and then a smaller boat still uses the Old Port in town, so look at the port printed on your ticket.

As you come off the ferry, the supplier meets you, sends you directions to their office, or sends a shuttle to take you there, and confirms which after booking. Give them your ship and arrival time when you book. If your ticket says the Old Port, tell the supplier: the two ports are 5 minutes apart by road, and a sea bus links them.
