How you pick up your car
Ferries from Piraeus, Rafina and the other Cyclades all dock at Parikia, in the middle of town. It is the main ferry junction of the Cyclades, and very busy in August. When a large ferry is due, the car park by the terminal fills in the half-hour before it sails and traffic backs up on the port road.
As you come off the ferry, the supplier meets you at the port, sends you directions to their office, or sends a shuttle to take you there, and confirms which after booking. Tell the supplier your ship and arrival time when you book. In a strong meltemi, sailings are sometimes delayed or cancelled: keep the supplier updated.
