Car Rental Rhodes (port) - Rent From Locals

Rhodes town has more than one harbour, so tell the supplier your ship and where it docks when you book:

• Akandia, the large port south-east of the Old Town, takes the big car ferries, including the Blue Star sailings from Piraeus, and some cruise ships. It is about 3 km from the New Market, 5 minutes by car, and about 20 minutes on foot from the Old Town.
• Kolona, just outside the Old Town walls, is where the smaller Dodekanisos Seaways ferries to Symi and the other Dodecanese islands leave from.
• The central (international) port, on the eastern side of Kolona, takes cruise ships, a short walk from the Old Town.

The crossing from Piraeus takes about 13 to 18 hours, depending on the ship and the season, so give the supplier your ship and expected arrival time. Once you're off the ship, the supplier meets you at the port, sends you directions to their office or sends a shuttle to take you there; which of these, they confirm after booking.
